Business Development Manager Goldspar Australia Pty Ltd

Goldspar Australia is a leading and innovative designer and manufacturer of tubular aluminium products including light poles, flag poles and sporting posts. We require a Sydney based Business Development Manager (BDM) to assist the sales and marketing team to further develop and grow our target markets in Australia.

Goldspar Australia is based in the Northern Beaches of Sydney and offering products Australia wide and internationally, the company has been established for close to 40 years and is the market leader in its field.

This role will suit a proactive self starter and report to the Executive Manager Sales and Marketing. Periodic travel to most Australian states will be required.

Our products are primarily aimed at infrastructure projects consequently the role will require a highly professional approach dealing with designers, specifiers, government departments and engineers. In addition maintaining and building relationships with contractors and wholesalers is vital. Full training in the attributes of our products and their manufacture will be provided.

As a Business Development Manager responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Promoting the products in the market and generating new prospects.

  • Preparation and following up of quotations. 

  • Delivering presentations to industry professionals and managers. 

  • Understanding customers' requirements and providing solutions.

  • Networking at industry functions, conferences and trade shows.

  • Maintaining relationships with customers. 

  • Assisting in the preparation of marketing collateral including web site updates. 

  • Reporting on sales activities and achieving KPI's.

  • Working with the company's industrial designers, production team and administrative personnel as required.

To be considered for the role you will need to demonstrate:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a sales or business development role in Australia.

  • Experience in dealing with professional consultants and government departments e.g. Lighting Designers, Civil Engineers, Landscape Architects that can specify our light poles.

  • Competent presentation, communication and networking skills and experience.

  • Professional and accurate writing and numeracy skills to produce proposals.

  • Motivated to learn, succeed, close deals and be part of a great team.

  • Clean Drivers licence and access to a reliable car.

  • You have the right to work and live in Australia.
